Deux jeunes garçons ont été tués ce jeudi 15 juin 2023 lors d’un affrontement entre les ouvriers de la CODEVI et les agents de sécurité du parc industriel à Ouanaminthe, une commune d’Haïti située à la frontière dominicaine.
En plus des deux morts, les agents de sécurité ont fait plusieurs blessés lors de cet affrontement. Une jeune femme a été touchée par balle et se trouve à l’hôpital au moment de la rédaction de cet article. Pour protester contre cet acte de barbarie, des membres de la population ont mis le feu à un entrepôt situé dans le dos du bâtiment qui héberge le Sous-Commissariat.
D’après une source digne de confiance, ces agents de sécurité, fraîchement choisis, ont l’habitude de maltraiter les ouvriers. Ce jeudi 15 juin, une fois de plus après, avoir battu l’un des ouvriers, cela a provoqué une panique totale et ces derniers ont profité pour faire passer leur mécontentement ; ce qui s’est terminé en un bain de sang.
