Au cours de l’enquête sur l’enlèvement et la disparition de Max Harry Titus, les accusés, Limond Toussaint, ancien ministre de la culture et Mondesir Evens, ont été arrêtés respectivement le jeudi 18 et le mercredi 17 Mai 2023.
Soupçonné d’avoir commis l’enlèvement suivi de la disparition de Max Harry Titus, le lundi 10 mai 2023 à proximité de son domicile, Mondesir Evens a avoué l’acte pour les enquêteurs de la Cellule de Coordination des Enquêtes de la Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire (CCE/DCPJ). Il détenait la carte SIM de la victime, ont fait savoir les informations.
En effet, lors de son audition, Mondesir Evens a aussi avoué que l’acte a été fait par Limond Toussaint, avec l’aide de deux autres personnes aux abords d’un véhicule noir. Une information qui a mené à l’arrestation de l’ancien ministre et prêtre par la DCPJ en son domicile à Delmas, le jeudi 18 Mai 2023.
Parallèlement, une autre descente a été faite dans la deuxième résidence de Limond Toussaint, à Jacmel, où la police a confisqué un fusil d’assaut de calibre T-65 de série 108439.
Pour l’heure, Limond Toussaint et Mondesir Evens, accusés d’enlèvement suivi de disparition et détention illégale d’arme de guerre, sont gardés à vue à la DCPJ en attendant les suites de l’enquête en cours.
