Arrêté à Delmas 52 à son domicile dans la soirée du jeudi 18 Mai 2023, l’ancien ministre de la culture et prête, Limond Toussaint est gardé à vue par la DCPJ. Il est accusé d’être le responsable de la disparition de l’un de ces voisins avec lequel il était en conflit, selon les parents du disparu qui ont porté plainte.
Parallèlement, suite à son arrestation, une fouille a été faite par le Service Départemental de la Police Judiciaire (SDPJ) dans son autre résidence se trouvant dans le département du sud-est, dans la commune de Marigot. Un fusil T-65 et deux chargeurs ont été retrouvés. C’est l’ancien ministre lui-même qui a affirmé aux agents de la DCPJ l’existence de ce fusil. Arme qu’il détenait à sa disposition quand il était ministre et ne l’avait pas encore remise à la fin de son mandat.
