Le Collectif des Amis de la Connaissance (CODAC), a lancé vendredi 5 Mai dernier la première édition de Génie Impérial dans la commune de Petit-Goâve. Ce concours, selon les organisateurs, vise à encourager les élèves au développement cognitif, à avoir le sens de responsabilité et un esprit compétitif. Le premier match a opposé le Collège Saint-Antoine et Saint Ignace de Loyola (CSASIL) et l’Institution Notre-Dame de la Sagesse (INDS).
Malgré la panique au niveau du territoire national, cela n’empêche le CODAC de tenir éveillés les esprits des écoliers. Ce, à travers sa toute première édition du jeu de connaissance baptisée Osny Zidor, étudiante en Médecine emportée par la vague de l’insécurité à Port-au-Prince.
Le secrétaire du CODAC, Cleeford Tataille, a prononcé un discours pour placer le concours dans son contexte. « Ce jeu vise à développer le sens de l’esprit critique et le goût pour la recherche chez les élèves […] Il participe grandement au développement cognitif des élèves et suscite le sens de la responsabilité et l’esprit de la compétition chez eux », déclare-t-il.
Les membres organisateurs se sont mis d’accord pour le nom de la première édition « Osny Zidor » en raison du fait qu’ils veulent honorer la mémoire de cette ancienne étudiante en cinquième année de médecine à la Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie (FMP) de l’Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH), tuée à Bois-Verna en avril 2022.
Quid du match d’ouverture?
Au prime abord, l’équipe du CSASIL paraît très offensive, en menant 150 points d’écart par rapport à l’équipe adverse. Et cela a duré pendant les deux premières rubriques. L’INDS, après bon nombre d’efforts déployés, a pu remonter au score et est sortie victorieuse du match en comptabilisant 1060 points contre 1010. Soulignons que, le deuxième match du concours est fixé pour le jeudi 11 mai, à Louco Night Club.
