Deux grandes personnalités politiques du pays viennent d’ajouter dans la liste de sanctions du Canada. En effet, les autorités canadiennes ont sanctionné Nenel Cassy et Steeve Khawly pour leur implication dans des actes de violences en Haïti.
Ces deux figures de la politique haïtienne sont interdites de fouler le sol canadien. Les autorités canadiennes ont aussi annoncé le gel des avoirs de l’ex-parlementaire Nenel Cassy et l’entrepreneur Steeve Khawly.
Depuis l’application du régime de sanctions du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies, plus d’une dizaine d’haïtiens ont été sanctionnés par le Canada.
