Environ 4 bandits, dont le chef de gang Izo ainsi connu, ont été abattus par les forces de l’ordre, lors d’une opération menée, le dimanche 12 février 2023, à Lascahobas, département centre du pays, par la Police locale et l’Unité départementale de maintien de l’ordre (UDMO) de Mirbalais, a annoncé la Police Nationale d’Haïti PNH ce lundi.
Dans le cadre de l’opération « Tornade 1 » lancée, par le haut commandement de la PNH, sur l’étendue du territoire national, contre les gangs armés, 4 bandit ont été mortellement blessés à Lascahobas dans des échanges de tirs avec les agents policiers.
Parmi ces 4 bandits tués se trouvant le chef de gang Izo ainsi connu, d’après le communiqué publié ce lundi 13 février par la PNH.
L’institution policière a indiqué qu’«au cours de cette opération» deux armes à feu ont été récupérées, il s’agit d’un fusil d’assaut M4 et un pistolet de 9mm. En outre, les forces de l’ordre ont confisqué « un véhicule de marque Lexus, de couleur noire ».
Cependant, une autre source a indiqué qu’une jeune fille de 17 ans a trouvé la mort lors de cette opération policière qui a eu lieu à Lascahobas le dimanche 12 février.
