Selon la PNH, Fleurival Mendy plus connu sous le nom de « Windy », âgé de 27 ans, est un membre actif du groupe criminel de « Grande Saline » dirigé par le nommé « Wilford » ainsi connu, a trouvé son arrestation dans la commune de Saint Marc. L’originaire de Grande Saline «avait pour tâche l’approvisionnement en munitions» du foyer de gang de ladite commune de l’Artibonite.
Dans son communiqué, la PNH a indiqué lors de son interpellation, ce présumé bandit «se trouvait à bord d’une petite embarcation à destination de Grande Saline». Toutefois, l’institution policière n’a pas précisé la date de l’arrestation de Fleurival Mendy.
Après sa capture dans la commune de Saint Marc, Fleurival Mendy alias « Windy » «est gardé à vue en attendant les suites judiciaires nécessaires», à en croire la PNH.
