Des policiers de la Direction centrale de la police judiciaire (DCPJ), ceux du Bureau des affaires financières et économiques (BAFE) et du Bureau de lutte contre le trafic de stupéfiants (BLTS) et les Gardes-côtes ont conjointement mené, le jeudi 29 décembre 2022, dans le département de la Grande-Anse, une opération qui s’est soldé par l’arrestation de l’homme d’affaires Étienne Philippe allias « Pipo » accusé de diverses infractions, dont « escroquerie, association de malfaiteurs au préjudice de l’État haitien », a annoncé la Police nationale d’Haïti (PNH), via un communiqué publié dans la matinée de ce vendredi 30 décembre.
Une importante opération a été réalisée par des agents de la DCPJ, du BAFE et du BLTS, et les Gardes-côtes qui ont arrêté l’entrepreneur Étienne Philippe dit « Pipo » dans le département de la Grande-Anse du pays, selon la PNH.
L’homme d’affaires Étienne Philippe, connu sous le sobriquet « Pipo », est reproché, par l’institution policière du pays, de diverses infractions, notamment évasion, escroquerie, usage de faux, association de malfaiteurs au préjudice de l’État haitien.
«La Direction centrale de la police judiciaire (DCPJ) avait émis un avis de recherche à son encontre suite à sa sortie spectaculaire de la Prison civile de Port-au-Prince le 4 avril 2022 date à laquelle il avait déclaré avoir payé sa libération», peut-on lire dans le communiqué de la PNH.
Après son arrestation dans le département de la Grande-Anse, la PNH a fait savoir que l’entrepreneur Étienne Philippe est actuellement placé en garde à vue à la DCPJ pour les suites judiciaires.
