Lors d’une séance judiciaire virtuelle tenue ce mercredi 28 décembre 2022, le président destitué du Pérou, Pedro Castillo, a demandé sa libération et clamé son innocence en ignorant d’avoir commis des crimes au cours de sa tentative d’auto-coup d’État survenue le 7 décembre passé.
Emprisonné pour « rébellion » et « conspiration » depuis le 7 décembre dernier, suite à sa destitution par le Parlement péruvien, ce mercredi l’ex-président Pedro Castillo a réclamé sa libération auprès de la justice du Pérou.
«Je demande que la haine cesse et demande ma liberté comme c’est mon juste droit. Je n’ai jamais commis de crime de rébellion», a déclaré l’ex président péruvien Pedro Castillo.
Détenu dans une prison située dans une caserne de la police dans la capitale du pays, Lima, président radical de gauche, Pedro Castillo, âgé de 53 ans, purge une peine de 18 mois.
Depuis l’arrestation de l’ex président Castillo, de nombreuses manifestations ont été réalisées à travers le pays dans l’objectif de réclamer sa libération.
