Depuis plusieurs semaines, le pays fait face à la dépréciation de la gourde au profit du dollar américain causant ainsi la montée en puissance de tous les produits sur le marché national. À la recherche d’une solution à cette situation, la Banque de la République d’Haïti (BRH) informe les institutions financières, ce mardi 23 août 2022, de sa décision d’injecter Huit millions cinq cent mille dollars (8 500 000 Usd) sur le marché. Selon la BRH, ce montant sera distribué à huit (8) banques commerciales évoluant dans les secteurs suivant: produits alimentaires, pharmaceutiques ou médicaux, et matériaux de construction.
Dans un avis adressé aux Banques commerciales, ce mardi 23 août 2022, la Banque de la République d’Haïti (BRH) a fait savoir qu’elle venait d’injecter 8 millions 5 cent mille dollars sur le marché. À en croire la BRH, ce montant sera reparti aux institutions financières comme suit:
1)Unibank/montant global alloué: 2 250 000 dollars.
2)Sogebank/montant global alloué: 1 1070 000 dollars.
3)BNC/montant global alloué:1 300 000 dollars.
4) Capital Bank/montant global alloué: 1 200 000 dollars.
5) BPH/montant global alloué: 200 000 dollars.
6)Citybank/ montant global alloué: 400 000 dollars.
7)BUH/montant global alloué: 700 000 dollars.
8) Sogebel/montant global alloué: 350 000 dollars.
En terme de condition, puisque le taux de vente de la BRH est 112 pour gourdes pour un dollar, les banques commerciales plus haut mentionnées sont invitées à revendre à un taux ne dépassant pas 112. 2500 gourdes pour 1 dollar américain, soit une marge de 25 centimes et elles auront pour obligation de soumettre à la BRH, les informations relatives aux ventes effectuées ( Nom et prénom, le numéro du compte ou le numéro de chèque de direction de l’acheteur, montant et taux, lit-on dans l’avis de la BRH adressé aux banques commerciales.
La BRH s’est enchaînée en soulignant que le montant à attribuer à chaque institution ne de devra pas excéder 150. 000 dollars américain et celui des ménages est fixé à 3 000 dollars américain exclusivement pour des besoins de transfert à l’étranger.
Toujours en guise d’exigence, la BRH demande que l’entreprise ou le ménage doit fournir à sa banque les preuves d’obligations courantes de paiement à l’étranger.
Après cette injection sur le marché, le dollar cessera-t-elle de gagner du terrain ? Si oui, pour combien de temps ? Les prix des produits alimentaires, pharmaceutiques, matériaux de constructions, entre autres seront-ils réviaés à la baisse? En tout cas, attendons voir!
