Par ailleurs, un présumé bandit a été tué et le chef de gang opérant dans cette zone, Alex Amstrong Dumorné, un ancien policier a été blessé au cou dans des échanges de tirs avec les forces de l’ordre, selon un communiqué de la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH) paru ce jeudi 18 août.
En vue de traquer le groupe de gangs qui opère à Bristou, selon les précisions de la PNH, une opération a été lancée, qui s’est soldée par la mort d’un agent policier d’une part, et d’autre part, un présumé bandit a été mortellement blessé et le chef de gang de cette troupe, Alex Amstrong Dumorné est sorti blessé.
« Lors de cette opération, le chef de gang Alex, un ancien policier révoqué, a été blessé par balle dans des échanges de tirs avec les agents de l’ordre et un autre bandit a été mortellement blessé. Tandis que le policier Pierre Roukidson, touché par balles, a succombé à ses blessures », a précisé la PNH.
« Blessé au cou, le chef de gangs, Alex Amstrong Dumorné, a eu le temps de prendre la fuite. Pour l’instant, il est activement recherché par la Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire (DCPJ) », a-t-elle ajouté dans son communiqué.
