La Fédération Protestante d’Haïti a évoqué plusieurs raisons pour lesquelles elle a été obligée de se retirer de l’accord. Elle a cité entre autres: « la tendance polémique croissante générée par la pluralité des accords actuellement en présence; le retard pris par l’Accord Montana pour garantir l’harmonisation dans la ligne de sa raison d’être ».
La Fédération dit se voir » dans l’obligation d’annoncer son retrait de l’ Accord Montana, en optant pour un plus large consensus, en vue du salut de la Nation ».
D’un autre côté, elle a fait savoir qu’elle souhaitait que « cette décision n’enlève aucunement la volonté suprême chez l’un comme chez l’autre, de travailler encore à l’amélioration du sort de la patrie commune ».
À noter que depuis environ deux semaines, certains alliés de l’Accord Montana et d’Ariel Henry ont commencé à se désolidariser en bloc. Certains autres comme le SDP bloc André Michel et Majorie Michel donne un ultimatum de 100 jours au PM pour redresser le pays.
