Quelqu’un qui croit que « les informations fiables et vérifiables » sont les moteurs de n’importe quelle société qui veut voir un avenir meilleur. À l’heure de la mondialisation où l’Internet est déterminant dans le quotidien de tout le monde surtout les jeunes, un moment où l’information prend un dessus qu’elle n’a jamais auparavant, Wilky plaide en faveur d’une bonne utilisation des réseaux sociaux, car selon lui, contrairement à ce que certains pensent, les réseaux sociaux ne sont pas utiles que pour les mauvaises pratiques. En ce sens, dans les détails, nous allons voir qui est Wilky Toussaint? Sa contribution pédagogique pour notre société sur les réseaux sociaux en abordant des sujets différents surtout sur la question des fonds de Petrocaribe (ce que nous allons détailler plus loin), que ce jeune met la disposition du grand public en vue de montrer le très bon côté des réseaux sociaux.

Wilky TOUSSAINT est né à Saint-Louis du Nord dans le département du Nord’Ouest. Dès l’âge de 10 ans, il a laissé sa ville natale pour entrer à Port-au-Prince notamment dans la commune de Cité Soleil où il a passé une bonne partie de son enfance. Passionné de lecture et de recherche depuis tout son jeune âge, après avoir terminé ses études classiques, étant passionné de la nature surtout de la biologie des plantes, il a toute suite intégré l’Université où il a étudié durant cinq ans les sciences agronomiques à la Faculté d’Agronomie de Médecine Vétérinaire (FAMV) de l’Université d’Etat d’Haïti (UEH) située à Damien. Une intégration qui selon lui, l’a beaucoup aidé dans l’acquisition des méthodes. Une profession à l’aide de laquelle il est actuellement employé dans une institution ouvrant dans ce même secteur d’activité soit dans l’agriculture.
Fervent fanatique de la lecture et de la recherche, il fréquentait très souvent la Bibliothèque municipale de la Croix-des-Bouquets. Dans un premier temps, ces recherches portaient sur l’astronomie. Mais, par rapport au désintéressement des gens de son environnement à l’astronomie, il a transité dans l’histoire, il intéressait à des historiens Haïtiens comme Thomas Madiou, Baubrun Ardouin et Lesly François Manigat depuis en troisième secondaire.
Ayant développé des capacités pour la recherche et la synthèse, en quatrième année à la Faculté d’Agronomie en 2019, lorsque la problématique des détournement de Fonds de Petrocaribe posait à fond dans tout le pays, il a réalisé une petite enquête portant sur la perception de cette question dans le milieu Haïtien. Après avoir interviewé certaines personnes sur le sujet et comparé les résultats avec un ensemble de recherches qu’il avait déjà effectué sur ce phénomène, il lui rendait compte que de bon nombre de gens ne savaient même pas ce que c’est « l’affaire Petrocaribe » (un véritable mouvement social déclenché sur les réseaux sociaux par des jeunes comme le rappeur de Mistik 703, K-Lib et autres avec ce fameux hachtag ##KotkòbPetrokaribe## demandant compte par rapport à un ensemble fonds octroyés par le Venezuela que les derniers gouvernements de 2008 à 2017 avaient dilapidé).
À partir de cela, il a décidé de faire une petite vidéo avec les données qu’il a trouvé et il l’a présentée au grand public. Très étonné, il lui rendait compte des lors qu’on peut utiliser les réseaux sociaux à bon escient aussi, ces outils ne sont pas seulement présents dans nos quotients pour faciliter la manipulation de la masse, la propagande et la désinformation mais on peut l’utiliser aussi pour éduquer, former et informer authentiquement les gens. En ce sens, loin du vraisemblable, il croit que les réseaux sociaux peut utiliser pour véhiculer de la bonne information. Il croit que ce travail n’est pas le fruit du hasard, il est dû plutôt par rapport à un processus qui commence à la base, depuis l’embrassement de la lecture et de la recherche jusqu’à l’acquisition d’un ensemble de méthode à la Faculté d’Agronomie, pour arriver jusqu’à ce résultat qui est viral sur les réseaux sociaux. Des lors, les réseaux ne seront pas l’espace pour faire du « zen ou du « Buzz », mais ils vont être utiles pour pouvoir éduquer, former et informer fiablement les gens. De façon rigoureuse, le natif du Nord’Ouest croit dans le savoir ou dans la connaissance, il croit que ceux qui ont un maximum de connaissances doivent les mettre à la disposition des autres et l’un des canaux qui peut favoriser cette transmission de savoir, peut être les médias sociaux. Wilky TOUSSAINT rappelle les parents ainsi que les jeunes qu’aucune société ne peut être existée sans l’école qu’il considère comme véritable vecteur directeur de tout peuple.
