Haïti/Politique: Daniel Foote rencontre plusieurs partis de l’opposition.

L’envoyé spécial des États-Unis poursuit ses séries de rencontre dans le but d’aider les acteurs politiques haïtiens à se mettre d’accord sur une solution consensuelle à la crise profonde que connait le pays. Hier mardi 17 Aout 2021, il s’est entretenu avec des leaders de Fanmi Lavalas, de la DIRPOD et d’autres acteurs politiques.

Plusieurs sujets se rapportant à la conjoncture actuelle étaient au menu des échanges, a révélé l’un des participants. Maitre André Michel affirme avoir défendu la thèse d’une large consensus qui devrait être suivi d’un accord politique entre les forces vives du pays. L’accord, a-t-il ajouté, devra permettre de déboucher sur : la formation d’un Gouvernement de Consensus; la mise en place d’un nouveau chef de la PNH pour rétablir la Sécurité et démanteler les groupes armés; la réalisation du Procès Petrocaribe  et de différents massacres d’Etat perpétrés dans les quartiers populaires (La saline, Bel-Air, Cité Soleil, Delmas 32); la mise en place d’un CEP crédible; la tenue de la conférence Nationale et l’organisation du débat constitutionnel; entre autres.

Le leader politique indique avoir démontré par a+b à l’émissaire américain que la tenue des élections cette année est totalement impossible arguant que le climat sécuritaire ainsi que le mode d’organisation de l’appareil électoral doit d’abord inspiré confiance aux participants.
Autres facteurs qui rend impossible la tenue des élections cette année sont les catastrophes naturelles dont le pays doit se battre pour s’en remettre avant de penser aux élections.
Les échanges, a poursuivi le porte-parole du secteur démocratique et populaire, se sont déroulés dans le respect mutuel. Selon André Michel, Daniel Foote s’est déclaré édifié après l’avoir et souhaite que les acteurs politique haïtiens finissent par trouver yn accord politique pour sortir le pays de cette crise

Soulignons qu’à presque deux mois depuis l’assassinat du président Jovenel Moïse, le dossier semble plus apte à sombrer dans l’oubli après l’assassinat suspect du greffier Ernst Lafortune suivi du déport du juge Mathieu Chanlatte.
