La Police Nationale d’Haïti(PNH) , à travers une importante opération menée, hier jeudi 12 août 2021, a mis sous les verrous un puissant présumé chef de gang dénommé Joseph Jean Evens allias Ricot dans la localité de Beudet, commune Croix-des-Bouquets. Plusieurs matériels appartenant à cette bande armée installée à Beudet 7, plus précisément au village Pacifique, ont été également saisis au cours de cette intervention policière.
Les forces de l’ordre continuent d’intensifier leurs interventions dans la commune de la Croix-des-Bouquets où l’on dénombre la présence de plusieurs gangs actifs. C’est l’institution policière qui a annoncé la nouvelle à travers les réseaux sociaux. Durant cette même opération, les agents de l’ordre ont également arrêté deux autres complices, a indiqué la PNH. Il s’agit de Mervilien Walkens et Joseph Jivens.
À en croire les autorités policières, plusieurs matériels en possession du gang ont été aussi saisis. Parmi ses matériels figurent : trois fusils de calibre douze et dix-sept cartouches ; un mini Uzi silencieux et un chargeur ; un pistolet neuf millimètre; quatre motocyclettes, un compresseur; deux pinces coupantes, un passeport et une paire de plaques.
Le présumé chef bandit arrêté et les ses deux complices sont à présent gardés à vue au commissariat de la « Croix-des-Bouquets en attendant que leurs dossiers soient déférés par devant la justice », a fait conclu la Police Nationale d’Haïti à cette note publiée sur sa page Facebook.
