Après plusieurs démarches judiciaires infructueuses, les responsables du collectif des avocats pour la défense des droits de l’homme entendent utiliser d’autres stratégies dans la perspective de la libération des prisonniers politiques. C’est dans cette perspective qu’ils ont organisé, ce lundi 9 Aout 2021, une conférence de presse. Conférence au cours de laquelle, le collectif a annoncé la tenue d’un sit-in, le mardi 10 Aout, devant les locaux du ministère de la Justice et de la Sécurité publique.
Ces mouvement de protestation sont indispensables dans le cadre de la lutte visant la libération des prisonniers politique reconnait Maitre Arnel Remy. L’homme de loi n’est, apparemment pas dupe. Il croit que seul un accord politique peut permettre à ces derniers de recouvrer leur liberté, en raison, dit-il, de la crise institutionnelle à laquelle fait face actuellement le pays.
La question relative au phénomène de l’insécurité a été abordée, dans le cadre de cette conférence de presse.
Le porte-parole du CADDHO, Maitre Arnel Remy, dénonce le climat d’insécurité qui prévaut depuis plusieurs mois a Martissant ou la population civile qui fréquentent quotidiennement cette zone est souvent, dit-il, la cible principale des bandits armés.
Cette machine d’insécurité a broyé sur sa route, l’avocat du barreau de Port-au-Prince, Maitre Roberson Louis qui, selon certaines informations, revenaient d’effectuer une transaction bancaire. En conséquence, Maitre Iswick Théophin, exige une enquête sérieuse en vue de déterminer les responsables de ce crime
