Le président cubain Miguel Díaz-Canel a accusé mardi les États-Unis et leurs prétendues campagnes médiatiques contre son gouvernement de l’attaque aux cocktails Molotov contre l’ambassade de Cuba à Paris lundi soir.
« Les « manifestants pacifiques » contre la Révolution cubaine sont venus à Paris avec l’encouragement des campagnes anti-cubaines générées à Washington. Le terrorisme est-il de retour contre les ambassades cubaines ? », a écrit le président cubain sur Twitter.
Aucun des responsables cubains n’a été blessé, bien que des dégâts matériels aient été constatés après le lancement de trois cocktails Molotov contre la légation, ont rapporté des sources diplomatiques.
Les dommages causés par ce que les responsables de l’ambassade de Cuba prétendent être un attentat à la bombe à essence sont visibles à l’entrée de l’ambassade de Cuba à Paris, France, le 27 juillet 2021.
La police parisienne ouvre une enquête sur l’attentat contre l’ambassade afin d’apporter une explication à ce qui s’est passé malgré le Président cubain a déjà lancé des accusations contre les Etats-Unis.
La Havane a reproché aux États-Unis l’incident pour leurs « campagnes continues » qui « encouragent ces comportements et pour les appels à la violence, en toute impunité, depuis son territoire », comme l’a écrit le ministre des Affaires étrangères Bruno Rodríguez sur Twitter.
Certains sièges diplomatiques cubains à l’étranger sont devenus la cible de manifestations contre le gouvernement cubain et en soutien aux manifestations qui ont éclaté le 11 juillet dans plusieurs villes de l’île des Caraïbes.
Les manifestations ont eu lieu alors que Cuba était plongé dans une grave crise économique et sanitaire, avec la pandémie incontrôlable et une grave pénurie de nourriture, de médicaments et d’autres articles de base, ainsi que de longues pannes d’électricité. Les autorités cubaines ont maintenu la stratégie consistant à blâmer les États-Unis pour tous les problèmes dont souffre le pays depuis le début de ces troubles.
