Haïti / Slam: L’ENARTS se réjouit de l’exploit de Meshac Lebrun

L’École Nationale des Arts se réjouit du premier prix que leur étudiant Meshac Lebrun a remporté au festival international Abyala Poetry Slam, déroulé du 18 au 20 Juin dernier au Mexique, peut-on lire dans une note postée sur son site web de l’institution

L’École Nationale des Arts (Enarts) en a profité pour adresser des félicitations et des mots d’encouragement à l’endroit de son étudiant: « tiens Bon! Meshac Lebrun, restez toujours debout pour la cause de la culture haïtienne ». Mesach Lebrun, dit « LFD mort de rime », est l’auteur du texte « Reste Debout ».

Il nous explique aussi que le festival Abya Yala Poetry Slam est une sorte de conglomérat de fédérations de Slam international regroupant plusieurs pays du continent américain comme le Mexique, le Brésil, la Colombie, l’Argentine, le Chili, le Pérou, l’Uruguay, le Cuba, le Guatemala, la Bolivie, le Paraguay, le Brésil et Haïti.

« Le but de ce festival est de rendre beaucoup plus visibles les projets des différents festivals et des fédérations qui en font partie et de renforcer la libre expression et l’inclusion de ces communautés dissidentes, historiquement opprimées et «ségréguées» par la parole et par le slam, » ajoute la note .

Essentiellement, la note présente le parcours du jeune slameur : « LFD a été choisi pour nous représenter au festival Abya Yala par l’association Krèm-Lank dirigée par Chouno Lamarre. » Ensuite, elle nous renseigne sur le déroulement de l’activité: « le tournoi s’est déroulé en ligne à cause de la Covid-19, Haïti a remporté le prix par le biais de LFD devant le Chili 2ème et le Costa-Rica 3ème. »

Pour sa part, LFD sur son compte Facebook « Meshac LFD Beaubrun » lance: « je tiens à vous remercier de m’avoir voté, grâce à vous j’ai réussi à remporter le prix du public et celui du jury ».
