Ce mercredi 2 juin 2021, les bandits de Grand Ravine et les bases 5 second, 400 Marozo et celles de Cité Soleil envahissent le quartier de Martissant. Ils ont combriolé des maisons, pillé des boutiques; des voitures et des motocyclettes ont été brûlées, et plusieurs dizaines de personnes ont été tuées. On peut constater les cadavres dévorés par des chiens dans les rues de Martissant, la situation n’est pas différente entre Bel-Air et Delmas 2, Delmas 6, où la guerre des gangs se poursuit.
Face à cette situation, la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH) se montre totalement impuissante, elle n’arrive toujours pas à contrôler la situation. Au contraire, ce sont les bandits qui ont gain de cause et contrôlent la situation, ils ont des armes de guerre, ils ont pu s’emparer de plusieurs commissariats dans la capitale et c’est le cas du sous-commissariat de la station de Gonaïves, où des policiers ont été grièvement blessés par balles, d’autres sont morts.
Après une intervention de la police nationale d’Haïti le weekend écoulé la PNH a repris le contrôle du sous-commissariat de Portail St-Joseph même si la population n’a pas encore eu de bilan.
Des rumeurs persistantes veulent faire croire que c’est la complicité de l’opposition voulant faire échec au gouvernement. Selon eux, la sécurité est politisée. Pour le gouvernement, tout ceci c’est pour l’empêcher d’organiser le référendum qui, initialement prévu pour le 27 de ce mois, a été finalement renvoyé à une date ultérieure.
