Haïti: Des émissaires de l’OEA rencontrent les protagonistes de la crise politique.

Comme prévu, la mission de l’OEA est arrivée à Port-au-Prince, ce mardi. Elle a eu son premier entretien avec le Président de la République, Jovenel Moïse. Elle envisage également de rencontrer plusieurs membres de l’opposition dont certains ont déjà décliné son invitation.

La mission de l’Organisation des États Américains entend servir d’intermédiaire entre les protagonistes de la crise politique afin de trouver une issue et faciliter la tenue d’élections libres, honnêtes et démocratiques dans le pays. Dans cette perspective, elle a tout d’abord rencontré le président de la République.

« Je me suis entretenu, ce mardi 8 juin avec la mission de l’OEA. Les discussions ont porté sur la situation sécuritaire et sanitaire du pays”, a écrit Jovenel Moïse sur son compte twitter. Il soutient avoir réaffirmé l’engagement de son administration pour entretenir un dialogue franc qui devra déboucher sur l’organisation d’élections démocratiques.

Après sa rencontre avec le premier citoyen de la Nation, l’organisation hémisphérique, suivant son agenda, envisage de rencontrer des acteurs de l’opposition et de la société civile. Le but est d’essayer de trouver un modus operandi qui devra créer la confiance entre les protagonistes de la crise politique en vue de faciliter la réalisation des élections cette année pour le renouvellement du personnel politique.

La réception de la délégation

À peine arrivée, la délégation fait face à une vague de protestation. Des organisations comme « Nou Konsyan », « Pitit Desalin » et d’autres partis de l’opposition déclinent l’invitation qui leur a été faite de s’entretenir avec les émissaires autour de la crise. Selon l’un des dirigeants de « Nou Konsyan », Ebens Cadet, l’OEA ne peut être juge et partie à la fois. Selon lui, cette institution régionale n’a jamais réussi une mission sinon que servir les intérêts des dominants au détriment de ceux de la masse défavorisée.

Par ailleurs, d’autres partis de l’opposition et de la société civile ont exprimé clairement leur intention de s’asseoir avec la délégation de l’OEA dans l’ultime but de défendre une position de principe. Ce qui est le cas pour le leader du parti Ayiti An Aksyon, Youri Latortue. Cette position lui vaut d’ailleurs des critiques acerbes de la part de ses frères et soeurs de combat du Secteur démocratique et populaire, notamment Maître André Michel. Selon ce dernier, seulement le président proclamé par l’opposition, Joseph Mécène Jean-Louis, peut décider à cette fin.
