1902 : Fin de la guerre des Boers

Le 31 mai 1910 est fondée l’Union sud-africaine, qui consacre le rapprochement entre les anciens ennemis de la guerre des Boers.

2016: En France, on inaugure le réseau de détection des météores et météorites : FRIPON. Cet ensemble de caméras surveille le ciel en continu de jour comme de nuit.
2017: En Afghanistan, le quartier des ambassades de Kaboul est la cible d’un attentat au camion piégé. Le bilan: plus de 150 morts et 463 blessées. L’attentat, non revendiqué, est le plus meurtrier du pays depuis 2002.
2019: A Virginia Beach en Floride (USA), une fusillade se déroule devant et dans un bâtiment municipal. Le tueur blesse mortellement douze personnes, il sera ensuite abattu par la police suite à un échange de coups de feu.
